Sue Bierman Park - A Waterfront Playground

Most days I am very grateful to live in the City of San Francisco. We hold one of the top 10 spots in the country for the most green space per capita, which is really just a fancy way to say that 100% of San Franciscans live within a 10-minute walk to a park.

Parents all over SF probably take this fact for granted. I for one am making sure my kiddo gets the most exposure to as many of these spaces for free entertainment and exercise as we can check off the list this summer; which kind of makes the high-ass rent feel…less terrible.

First up this summer Sue Bierman. This park is on the waterfront near the Ferry Building which draws people from all over the City — and the Bay as its a ferry terminal for transbay boats and also where the famous F-line streetcars pass by. This park’s playgorund was recently updated, the equipment is nice and new. There’s a big and little kid structure and tons of open green space for playing ball, having a picnic or just practicing those few steps.

We’re sharing the best of our adventures here all summer long. Watch this space for SF’s best parks brought to you by Birthbox.
